For Rinnai's latest range of premium gas fires, the Linear Collection, Rinnai’s designers took their inspiration from Aotearoa’s unique landscapes. They hand selected driftwood washed up on our wild West Coast beaches, and stones to match those shaped by our rivers and tides. These were painstakingly recreated as perfectly lifelike ceramics.
Rinnai’s engineers then reinvented gas fire technology so flames burn more realistically and embers glow more brightly. Finally, they captured the flames in frameless panoramic enclosures, leaving next to nothing between you and the flickering warmth. The end result is the all-new Linear gas fire collection from Rinnai.
At one and a half metres wide, this is a truly impressive-looking fire. Add to that it’s availablity in either single or double-sided variants and you have a fire that’s a shining example of the wow factor. This is not just a means of heating your home, it’s an architectural statement.
Suitable for indoor installations only.

IMPORTANT: Gasfitters and builders
Linear models have adjustable wallboard support rails. The gasfitter will adjust these based on the thickness of the wall lining. It's important the gasfitter gets the wall lining information from the builder. If this is not done the wall lining will not sit flush (if a flush installation) and the cavity can overheat causing the fire to cut out.
BUILDERS: Due to the heat from the fire ensure a 50 mm clearance around the unit, including the rear (if a single-sided model). This information is included in the framing dimension pages of the installation guide, an extract 'Linear framing dimension pages' has been provided in the 'Downloads' tab for ease of reference. Use this in conjunction with the 'Linear additional wall lining detail' to ensure a successful installation.

Yes. The majority of modern gas fires have electronic ignition and safety components that require electricity. For customers concerned with power outages, there are commercially available battery backup systems. One provider is Helio (www.heliosps.co.nz) who supply systems specifically designed for use with gas space heaters and water heaters.
