Travel & Accommodation costs

The Brivis Service Agent is responsible for travel and accommodation for their staff. We recommend the IBIS Budget hotel Auckland Airport due to its location to Rinnai.  Click here for IBIS website.

Course is ideal for

Brivis Service Agent staff who regularly service or repair Brivis DCH systems

This course is entry/medium level and is not suitable for experienced professionals.


There are no pre-requisites

How to apply:

Applications on this form will be received up until 2 October.

Minimum and maximum numbers per course

The course will have a maximum number of 8 people to ensure quality learning & discussion.  If there are less than 6 registrations the course may be postponed or cancelled.

What is provided

In addition to providing the free training course, Rinnai will provide lunches, and airport and hotel transfers**.

Will the course be assessed?

Yes, by practical observation and theory assessment

A certificate will be issued. Results are sent directly to the company.

How many people can attend from the same company?

Only where the course is not full will we allocate spaces for two or more people from the same company.  If sending in more than one registration, please indicate which staff member should get preference.

Brivis Servicing

The course will be co-facilitated by Brivis Australian trainer Peter Norton & Brian Rowan (Rinnai NZ).

The primary focus is to cover the knowledge and skills to perform a 2 yearly service on a DCH system.  This is based on a new SOP issued by Brivis Australia in March.

The furnaces covered include:

  • StarPro series
  • Multiplex MPS
  • Old style Classics e.g. Buffalo
  • Newer style Classics

The competencies include:

  1. H,S & E requirements
  2. Understanding installation requirements
  3. Identification of system components in relation to servicing
  4. Inspection / system checks
  5. Electrical testing
  6. Parts replacement
  7. Post service system check including CO monitoring
  8. Recording of service activities
  9. Customer satisfaction

Note: If time allows, common faults and repair will be covered.
