Twin coil systems
Save money on power in summer using solar water heating through the standard coil, and in winter heat the water by the wetback fire using the thermosiphon coil.

Thermosiphon coil for wetback
The water is circulated through a coil inside the cylinder by a thermosiphon effect i.e. warmer water rises and cooler water falls, creating a natural flow. This means there is no need for a pump to circulate the water, you can still heat your water even if there’s a power cut!

Cylinder sizes
Choose from either a 250 or a 300 L cylinder.

Designed for high temperatures
The duplex stainless steel inner cylinder means it can be used in solar systems with high incoming water temperatures.

This range of hot water cylinders comes with a 10 year warranty and is backed by Rinnai after sales service and support.

** For closed loop solar systems the heat transfer fluid is circulated through the solar collector on the roof where it is heated by the sun. The heated transfer fluid then passes through the cylinder coil, which acts like a very large element to heat the water.

Twin coil lower element
For new builds and renovations connecting to a wetback fire and a closed loop solar system, where the homeowner will have full electric boost when there is not enough heat from supplementary sources.

Twin coil dual element
For new builds and renovations connecting to a wetback fire and a closed loop solar system, where the homeowner wants faster recovery times, and to reduce the risk of running out of hot water. Cylinder will have higher running costs.

Twin coil upper element
For new builds and renovations connecting to a wetback fire and a closed loop solar system, where the homeowner relies heavily on heat from supplementary sources. Upper element is only used to quickly heat water in the top of the cylinder.

General properties of duplex stainless steel 2304
Duplex 2304 is a 23% chromium, 4% nickel, molybdenum-free duplex stainless steel whose structure is a balance of ferritic and austenitic. It has general corrosion resistance similar or better than Alloys 304L and 316L but with yield strength nearly double that of austenitic stainless steels. Its duplex microstructure and low nickel and high chromium contents also allows Duplex 2304 to demonstrate improved stress corrosion resistant properties compared to 304 and 316. It is typically suitable for all applications in the -58 °F to 572 °F 
(-50 °C to 300 °C) temperature range and is designed to feature high mechanical strength, good weldability, good corrosion resistance, high resistance to stress corrosion cracking, good machinability, low thermal expansion, good fatigue properties, high thermal conductivity, and easy fabrication.
